Journal Entry Export

The Journal Entry Export option creates an ASCII text file of journal entries.

Format #

• Enter the number opposite the format description. See the export profile menu to create a new format.

Enter Directory Of Conversion File 

• Enter the disk and directory where you will put the new export file.

Conversion File Name

• Enter the name of the new export file.

Starting Period

• Enter the starting period for the journal entries.

Ending Period

• Enter the ending period for the journal entries.

Minimum Amount of Expenditure or Commitment to Export

• Enter the minimum amount of commitment or expense relating to a journal entry to be exported. Note that absolute (ignores the minus sign) values will be compared. For example, if 1000 was entered, any journal entries that have commitments or expenditures greater than 999.99 or less than -999.99 will be exported.

Starting Sub-Ledger

• Enter the first sub-ledger number to be exported.

Ending Sub-Ledger

• Enter the last sub-ledger number to be exported.

The journal entry export creates a list file with statistics on the export run and a breakdown of the records in the export file. An example is shown below.

Create Delimited Output File

• Enter 'N' if the export file created is not to be delimited.

• Enter 'Y' if the export file created is to be delimited.

The following prompt will appear:

Enter Type of Delimiter

• Enter 'T' if the fields are to be separated by tabs.

• Enter 'C' if the fields are to be separated by commas.
