TOC Seniority Calculation Process
The TOC Seniority Calculation Process will calculate a TOC's seniority by reading through the dispatch file and count up the number of days he/she worked in a long-term assignment. A long-term assignment is when a TOC replaces the same employee for a specified number of consecutive days. The default throughout this system is four. So, if a TOC was in a long-term assignment for 10 days during a month, his/her TOC seniority for that month would be 10.
The system will use the date range you specify and accumulate the TOC seniority within that time period. The date range you enter will be changed on an individual basis if other TOC seniority records are found to exist. For example, if you specify a date range of 20000101 to 20011231 but there are already seniority records up to and including 20010630, the system will change the date range to 20010701 to 20011231. This is to prevent the system from having overlapping seniority records. Seniority records with overlapping dates are prohibited by the system.
This process can be run in preliminary or final modes. A preliminary run will produce a report showing you the seniority records it proposes to make. A final run creates the seniority records.
This process can produce either a detail or summary report. The detail mode will show each day it considered to be a long-term assignment. The summary mode will only display the total number of days found for each employee.
