Create Budget Position Files

The CREATE BUDGET POSITION FILES module creates new Budget Position records (FTE and percent driven), Associated Cost records, Budget Ids, and Budget Phase Ids from the 'Select' Year/ID. It filters out any temporary Position adjustments created only for the 'Select' Budget Year/ID and not meant to pass on to the 'Create' Year/ID. It creates new Summary records for Budget Positions (FTE and Percent types. It maintains the link between FTE and Percent driven Positions. Associated Cost, Budget ID and Budget Phase ID records must be created through their Maintenance modules. It filters out any temporary Associate Cost records created only for the 'Select' Budget Year/ID and not meant to pass on to the 'Create' Year/ID.

SELECT BUDGET YEAR

Enter Budget Year you wish to create from. It defaults to the 'Current Year' in BPS Master Profile record ('06' entry).

Entering a blank year or <F10> will exit to the previous menu.

SELECT BUDGET ID

Enter Budget ID you wish to create from. It defaults to '0'. If you have only one ID, this entry is skipped and it assumes the default.

CREATE BUDGET YEAR

Enter Budget Year you wish to create It defaults to the 'Current Year' in BPS Master Profile record ('06' entry) and adds one (1) to it.

Entering a blank year or <F10> will exit to the previous menu.

CREATE BUDGET ID

Enter Budget ID you wish to create. It defaults to '0'. If you have only one ID, this entry is skipped and it assumes the default.

PRINT REPORT ONLY [Y/N] <Y>

Enter 'Y' create and report the new records, or 'N' to simply report what would happen if 'Y' was selected. It defaults to 'Y'.
