Employee Record Movement

This module is used to transfer employee data from one employee number to a new unused employee number.

This process moves all the employee's information including current and history data to the new employee number.

The employee move can only be run for one employee at a time. Be sure you have received and reviewed the log from one employee move before starting a second employee move.

The employee move process was designed with the ability to re-start the employee move wherever the process stops, in the event of a system shut down etc. This program knows when the last employee move was not completed successfully and will not allow a new employee move to be started until the previously failed employee move has been re-started and completed successfully.

The employee move will adjust only records within the current payroll. If the payrolls are using the Payroll employee numbering system, then all occurrence of that employee in all payrolls must also be moved.

When using the Human Resources system please also refer to the Employee Number Change within the Human Resources system.

NOTE: This feature should only be used after the Payroll Upload program has been run and a Full Backup of this payroll has been done.

NOTE:  This job will only run in batch.

A BACKUP OF THE FILES IS RECOMMENDED
