Employee Record Deletions

This module is used to delete all an employee's records from the payroll system. This option is a batch process that allows any number of employee's to be submitted for deletion. A listing of the total records per type is generated for each employee deleted. Use extreme caution when deleting employees.  This process is intended for use on employees added to a payroll by mistake, which have not yet been paid. If this is not your situation, please discuss with atrieveERP before proceeding. 

WARNING: Employees MUST NOT be deleted before the Year End Statement Processing UNLESS the employee has been inactive for more than one year.

NOTE:  This job will run only in batch.

Individual Employee Selection or Global Employee Selection

  • Enter 'E' to select specific employees for deletion.

  • Enter 'G' to globally select employees for deletion. Use EXTREME CAUTION when deleting employees globally.

When selection by 'E'mployee was chosen:

Enter Number of the Employee to be Deleted

  • Enter the employee number or Use look-up for a full list of employees by name.

To submit the deletion process with the employee selected. A message '# Employees Selected For Deletion 'upon exiting this process, will be displayed. A number of employees selected for deletion will display in order to ensure only the total number of employees intended to be deleted will be processed.

Is This The Correct Employee?

  • Enter 'Y' to continue with the selection of that employee's deletion.

  • Enter 'N' to cancel the deleting of this employee and return to the employee number prompt.

Delete Employee

  • Enter 'N' to reject the deletion of this employee and return to the employee number prompt.

  • Enter 'Y' to all delete employee prompts to continue with the deletion of this employee.

Select Terminated Employees Prior To Date

  • Enter a valid date to be used for employee selection. Terminated employee's whose Termination Date is earlier than this date will be selected for deletion. The system will not accept a date that is within the last two years.

NOTE: CRA and the Employee Standard Act specify requirements as to how long employment documentation records must be maintained.
