Replacement Cancellation - Manual Process Improvement

Replacement Cancellation - Manual Process Improvement
What we’re doing:
Added a button in Absence/Dispatch Changes to streamline the manual cancellation process for dispatched employees.
Why we think you’ll like it:
Previously, to manually cancel a replacement, dispatchers would have to go to absence/dispatch deletions, delete the dispatch record, note the absence ID or absence employee and date, then switch to absence/dispatch changes, load that noted absence record, then re-dispatch. The new process is streamlined to be initiated through a button option that will take the user through all the necessary steps, reducing the possibility of missing a step.
Even if the dispatcher does not want to re-dispatch, they can still remove the dispatched employee and leave the replacement blank or enter a new replacement if that employee is already known.
By improving this process, not only the dispatcher’s day-to-day tasks will be streamlined (estimated reduction in workflow steps and time is 70%), but the process will be much easier to learn for new dispatchers.
Learn more:
To manually cancel a dispatched employee:
Go to Absence/Dispatch Changes in Atrieve HR
Load the applicable record
Click Actions
Click Dispatch - Delete Replacement and Re-Dispatch
From there, the user will be prompted to either:
(a) delete the current replacement and re-dispatch, or
(b) delete the current replacement only - no re-dispatch
*note that selecting either of these options will immediately delete the current replacement.
If the user selects (a), they will be asked if the replacement employee should receive a cancellation call (if automated dispatching is activated), then the subject/level info window will open.
The requested employee can be updated on this screen.
If the user needs to change the subject/levels, they can click the subjects/levels button.
If the user needs to change the Message, they can click the Message button.
Once any changes are completed, the user clicks submit and the absence is re-dispatched.
